CAMBRIA - Wayne Bontrager had 205 rushing yards and four first-half touchdowns as Cambria-Friesland pounded Madison Abundant Life, 58-15, in Friday's Small Trailways contest.

Bontrager had runs of 15, 7 and 11 before ripping off an 80-yard scamper midway through the second quarter.

C-F (3-5, 3-3 Small) finished with 479 rushing yards on 49 attempts.

"We're starting to click a little more offensively," Toppers coach Jim Bylsma said. "The interior of our line is starting to play really well."

C-F also got 103 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns from John Gutzman in the win. But Bylsma said his team must be better at passing and special teams before getting into the playoffs.

"We need to tighten some things up," Bylsma said. "We gave up a kick return after a touchdown and that's something that can't happen when you are in the playoffs."

To reach postseason, the Toppers must defeat Green Lake next Thursday.
