Pardeeville clinched at least a share of its fourth straight Large Trailways Conference championship with a 35-12 triumph over Montello/Princeton in Princeton on Friday night.

The Bulldogs, who picked up their seventh straight victory, got 207 rushing yards and four touchdowns from senior running back Pat Haynes. Haynes scored on runs of 7, 16 and 4 yards in the first half before adding a 19-yard TD run in the third quarter to give Pardeeville a 35-6 lead.

Pardeeville also got a 26-yard TD pass from quarterback Jesse Kath to Michael Knutson with just 6 seconds remaining in the first half to send the Bulldogs into the locker room with a commanding 28-6 lead.

The Phoenix kept the game close early, scoring on a 45-yard screen pass from Jake Lunow to Brandon Rew to make it 14-6 with 3:11 remaining in the first half. Pardeeville responded with a pair of scores late in the half to take control of the contest.

Montello-Princeton added an 80-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter from Lunow to Matt Sosinsky.

The Bulldogs (6-0 in conference, 7-1 overall) can clinch the outright conference title with a victory in Deerfield on Thursday night.
