Poynette's girls basketball team committed 20 turnovers in 59 possessions and had just one player score more than three points Thursday night as the host Indians fell to visiting Belleville 46-23.

"They made baskets early and we couldn't make a basket and we turned it over," Poynette coach Bob Tomlinson said. "I guess the biggest thing is we didn't shoot the ball very well... and we turned it over 34 percent of the time we had it. So that's a formula for disaster."

Poynette scored just 12 first-half points, with Ashley Howell going for 10 of those.

"We've got to find somebody else to score some points," Tomlinson said.
