If there is a competition someplace for a well-written story, I would enter the Daily Register story about the two police officers who started the Onieda Street investigation.
The instincts and solid police work were of course the important factor and to me the way they paid attention to detail saved the little boy. I can only imagine how many messages come into a police machine from all over the country, and yet someone remembered this particular one.
It almost seems like there was some very needed "divine intervention" in seeing and responding to this message.
Having a story and knowing just how to write it is also a skill that takes time to develop, and I think Shannon Green nailed this one.
