This letter is in regards to Ben Bromley's column "Cows turning planet into gas chamber" appearing June 9.
The column was full of good information presented in a humorous and understandable manner, which is refreshing. And although it will always be fun to joke about cow belching, global warming is a serious matter. Scientists estimate that in some regions up to 60 percent of the wildlife and plants could go extinct due to global warming.
This is harmful to people, too, as we rely on diverse species to provide us with food, clean water, clean air and even medical advances. So let's keep joking about cow belches (because I can't imagine it losing it humor), but get serious about global warming.
