I spent the week of Sept. 20 at Yellowstone National Park attending a photography conference. On Friday, I had lunch at the Old Faithful Inn, paid for my lunch and put my coin purse in my camera bag.
On the return trip back to our hotel in West Yellowstone, we got in and out of the car many times to take many pictures. When back in town, we headed towards a gift shop and I realized my coin purse was missing.
We immediately retraced our steps and drove the 20 miles back to Old Faithful and stopped at all the places where I took pictures, but no wallet. I filled out several lost item reports at various places and then canceled my credit cards in the wallet. I prayed and hoped for a return of my coin purse.
On Oct. 8, my mail contained a package with no return address. Inside was my coin purse with my money (more than $120), my credit cards, my driver's license and my Golden Age Passport for national parks. I couldn't believe it.
This is a public thank-you to whomever found my coin purse and returned it to me intact.
It renews my faith in people. The only clue to whomever found it is the ZIP code on the outside of the envelope. It came from Portage.
