Let me tell you about one of Portage's good Samaritans.
Last Friday afternoon as I traveled on Interstate 94 from Milwaukee to Madison, I had a tire blowout. Wrestling with the tire, heavy traffic and hot weather, I was very pleasantly surprised and relieved by a kind gentleman. He had been traveling west, passed me by, turned around, came back and helped me with my tire problem. In the course of that assistance, he told me he worked for the railroad and was returning from Milwaukee to his home in Portage
Now, for some people, this is no "big deal" and may be considered commonplace. But for a guy in heavy traffic on a hot day it was a big deal and much appreciated.
Thank you, good Samaritan from Portage.
