MAILBAG: Don't pay for inmate's surgery

Well, I have read it all now. A guy shot and killed his girlfriend and tried to kill himself in 2002. He is in Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage for his unreasonable action.

Remember, this was 2002. She is dead and he is now serving his time. Now, seven years later, he decided he can't eat or speak as well as he did or would like to, so he is asking for reconstructive surgery for the expensive process to make him eat more easily and speak the way he used to?

Do you as fellow taxpayers see the issue as I do? Who made the issue in the first place? And how has he eaten and spoke in the last seven years? I say buy him straws and let him speak slowly or write notes to get his message across.

I do not understand why the people of Wisconsin would have to pay for this very costly process. I am sure I can let them know of other places to spend this money, as it is much needed in other programs for the elderly for our state. We need to inform the people we put into office we don't like such foolish spending.

He can live at the Portage prison as he has with no surgery. We need to write letters to stop this foolish spending. Thanks for reading.
