WISCONSIN DELLS - Joseph Heintz, 18, of Wisconsin Dells, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison after battling ongoing health issues beginning at a young age.
Joseph was born July 7, 1990, in Portage. He enjoyed swimming, playing drums and percussion instruments in band. He was a self-proclaimed band geek. In the band department, Joe led by example as a tutor and mentor to other band students. He was of high moral character, honest, straightforward, trustworthy and loyal. What he loved most was being with friends. He was a very kind person and friend to everyone. He dearly loved his family and friends.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Victoria Remington, and father, George Heintz Jr., both of Wisconsin Dells; brothers, David Flower of New York and Michael (Amanda) Gawel of Wisconsin Dells; and sisters, Heather Remington of Elroy and Charity (Jameson) Sutherland of New York.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at United Presbyterian Church in Wisconsin Dells, with the Rev. Steven Keller officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from noon until the time of service at 3 p.m.
