PORTAGE - Jason J. Kitkowski, 33, of Portage, died Friday, June 5, 2009, at Divine Savior Healthcare, Portage.

He was born March 18, 1976, in West Allis, the son of Thomas and Margarete Hansen Kitkowski. He loved being a dad and always tried to set good examples.

He is survived by his fiancé, Carrie Julseth of Portage; his dad, Thomas Kitkowski of Jacksonville, Fla.; children, Gage Thiessen, Vanessa Julselth, Matthew Walters, ZinEvra Julseth and SaLeea Ann Kitkowski, all of Portage; brother, Erik Doege of Endeavor; sisters, Ashley (Steve Marchand) Doege of Endeavor and Nicole Lynne Doege of Portage; grandmother, Sieglinda Hansen of Oconomowoc; and niece and nephew, Madalynne and Karter Marchand of Endeavor. Jason is preceded in death by his parents, Greg and Margarete Doege; his grandpa, Alvin Hansen; and close friend, Lanny Oren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Portage, with the Rev. Alan Boeck officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jason's daughter, SaLeea Ann Kitkowski.
