MONTELLO -- Emeline Ennis Kotula, age 83, of Montello, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at her residence with her family by her side.
Private family services will be held.
Emeline was born April 19, 1921, in Montello, the daughter of Samuel and Florence (Cease) Ennis. She grew up on the family farm that was established in 1849 on Ennis Lake in Marquette County. In April of 1941 she married Walter Kotula in Chicago, Ill. She was a member of the Audubon Society and loved to watch birds. She was also a member of the Poets Society being a published poet.
Emeline is survived by a daughter, Helene Malone, Albion, Ill.; sisters, Mabel Hart and Nola Grace Ennis, both of Montello, and Jean (Marvin) Trautman and Joan (Phil) Wojtonik, both of Wilmington, Ill.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Nancy Kotula; sons, Michael and David Kotula; sisters, Pearl, Melva, Phoebe and Orva Ruth; and brothers, John L., Samuel and Robert.
