Joseph W. "Joe" Dedrick

MONTELLO - Joseph W. "Joe" Dedrick, 72, of Montello, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at his home.

He was born June 8, 1937, to James and Helen Kosa Dedrick in Bloom City. On Nov. 26, 1966, he married Barbara Cramer and together they had seven children. Joe was a caring individual who enjoyed his family, friends and football. He was a hard worker and liked to keep busy. He worked for Madison Silos and EGS while hobby farming on the side.

Joe leaves behind a wife of almost 43 years, six children: Michele (Greg) Frystak of Portage, Brad Dedrick of Milwaukee, Derek (Jacki) Dedrick of Montello, Jaret (Lisa) Dedrick of Portage, Shane (Donna) Dedrick of Montello and Damon Dedrick of Madison. Joe is further survived by nine grandchildren; one sister, Gloria (Dennis) Schmirler; and one brother, Lawerence "Bob" (Jeanne) Dedrick.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Chad; one brother, Clarence; and one sister, Carmen Liefke.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joe will be held at noon Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Montello, with Father Michael Richel officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Interment will take place in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Montello. Crawford (formerly Steinhaus-Wachholz) Funeral Home of Montello is serving the family.
