PORTAGE - Donna A. Foley, 79, of Portage, passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Donna was born March 10, 1930, in Richland Center, the daughter of Harley and Wanda Miller Herpel. On Dec. 1, 1951, she was married to Thomas Foley in Pardeeville. Donna worked at Portage Hosiery for many years. After retiring, Donna worked at Freitag IGA in Montello. She loved going on many long walks.
She is survived by three daughters, Pam Lempke of Montello, Cindy (Jerry) Schmitz of Montello and Janet (Rob) Hartman of Portage; four grandchildren, Angie (Ed) Frank of Harrisville, Missy (Jayson) Peschel of Westfield, Tom (Stephanie) Lempke of Oshkosh and Nick (Crystal) Hartman of Arlington; seven great-grandchildren, Paige Peschel, Taylor Bilberry, Parker Peschel, Mackenzie Frank, McKenzie Hartman, Natalie Frank and Gage Hartman; three brothers, Bud (Shirley) Herpel of Portage, Roger Herpel of Randolph and Howie (Dixie) Herpel of Portage; many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Thomas, on Feb. 1, 1993, and by a sister-in-law, Barbara Herpel.
Private family memorial services will be held. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery. Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
