Between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday, police responded to 30 calls.

Intersection of Jackson and Conant streets: Police at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday received a report from the Columbia County Jail that Jon M. Rasmussen, 37, of Madison, who was being booked, had his driver's license revoked and had driven to the jail. Police cited him for operating after revocation as a second offense after witnessing him drive away.

400 block of East Wisconsin Street: Police at 1:39 a.m. Thursday stopped a vehicle driven by Brandon J. Brooks, 23, of Endeavor, for driving without headlights. When asked to perform a sobriety test, Brooks charged an officer, hitting him in the shoulder, and fled, police said. During a foot chase to Howard and Carroll streets, the officer fell and lost track of Brooks. Brooks was cited for operating without a license and driving without headlights. Charges referred to the district attorney's office include two counts of obstructing and resisting an officer.
