The Small Business Administration's outreach center in Columbus will close later this week, the agency said Monday.
The SBA said its Disaster Loan Outreach Center at Columbus High School will close Friday. Another center in Waukesha County also will close Friday.
"We want to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of Columbus High School in Columbia County and the Waukesha County Communication Center in Waukesha County," Frank Skaggs, director of SBA Field Operations Center East in Atlanta, said in a statement. "By providing the facilities for our Disaster Loan Outreach Centers they have helped disaster victims in their community. We deeply appreciate their generosity."
The SBA urges homeowners, renters, businesses and nonprofit organizations of all sizes that were affected by the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that occurred in June and July to visit the centers before they close. Victims may also visit any of the other remaining centers to obtain one-on-one assistance with completing and returning their loan application before the filing deadline of Sept. 15.
Centers remain open in Fond du Lac, Sauk, Jefferson and Winnebago counties.
More information about the SBA's loan programs can be found on the agency's Web site, www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance.
