A Neshkoro teenager faces more than 25 years in prison on burglary and theft charges after he was seen attempting to break into a Marquette County home.

Charges were filed Monday in a case against Russel R. Sculley, 17.

He is scheduled for an initial appearance July 6 on felony charges of vehicle theft, three counts of burglary; and of misdemeanor theft and three counts of misdemeanor criminal damage to property.

Authorities say Sculley and a 16-year-old Neshkoro boy were seen June 17 trying to break a window in a garage at a residence along Highway E near Westfield.

Sculley reportedly admitted to using a rock to break a window of a home, then entering the home, according to a criminal complaint.

Sculley and the boy admitted to two additional homes, the complaint stated.

They took $210 in cash from one of the homes and drove another vehicle after they discovered the keys inside the vehicle, according to the complaint.
