A Columbus man will spend two months in jail after reportedly admitting to authorities that he sells cocaine that he purchases in Madison.
Travis L. Williams, 26, pleaded no contest last month to a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and was sentenced to 60 days in jail as part of a three-year probation sentence.
Authorities in March, tipped off by an informant, searched Williams' town of Columbus apartment, discovered 18.63 grams of cocaine, as well as packaging materials and a scale, according to a criminal complaint.
Williams said he had purchased the cocaine in Madison for $400, and repackaged the cocaine to sell, according to the complaint.
The informant told authorities that Williams made $2,000 to $3,000 a day selling cocaine, according to court documents.
