Between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday, police responded to 30 calls, including an emergency mental health detention.
Wal-Mart, 2950 New Pinery Road: Police at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday cited John Lange, 33, of Portage, with shoplifting. Store security said Lange took several packages of automotive adhesive, worth $12.78, and put them into his shirt and the pockets of his pants. Lange told authorities that he needed the adhesives to repair his mother's vehicle.
1200 block of West Wisconsin Street: At 7:07 p.m. Wednesday, police took a report of money missing from a checking account from an unauthorized withdrawal.
