Two brothers staying at Wilderness Resort as part of their parents' 50th anniversary celebration got into a fight that resulted in one cutting the other with a broken piece of lamp, authorities said.

Lake Delton police Sunday night arrested Kelvin Harmon, 25, of Bellwood, Ill. According to a police report, he asked his brother, "Do you feel like dying today?" before the attack.

He was charged with felony aggravated assault with a weapon and misdemeanor criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct after he attacked Lamarr Johnson in their hotel room at Glacier Canyon Lodge at Wilderness Resort.

Johnson said the family was in the area to celebrate his grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary, according to a police report.

He said things had been fine with Harmon until Sunday morning when the two got into an argument. Johnson said he tried to talk Harmon into going to the waterpark, but Harmon declined.

Johnson told Harmon that they were on vacation and it was common sense to have a good time. Johnson told police that this was when Harmon became upset and started yelling about common sense.

The brother left for the waterpark without Harmon. Later, the two were walking in the parking lot, headed for dinner.

Harmon's brother said he answered his phone and Harmon became upset, throwing his cell phone in his face because he didn't have one.

At dinner, the brother said Harmon became intoxicated and started to "run his mouth." Johnson left.

After ordering his meal, Harmon followed Johnson to the room and banged on the doors so Johnson would let him in. When the door opened, Harmon picked up a floor lamp and said, "Do you feel like dying today?" according to the police report.

Harmon threw the lamp, but Johnson was able to deflect it. Then, Harmon picked up a piece of the broken glass from the lamp.

Johnson said Harmon sliced and stabbed at him about 10 times, connecting at least three times. He sustained a cut to the right forearm, and slices to his left triceps and forearm.

He escaped and ran to the parking lot. He called his father, who was still at the restaurant, and his father told him to call the police.

The brother was bleeding when police arrived. EMS personnel bandaged his wounds, but he declined a ride to the hospital.

Johnson said he feared for his life and had never seen Harmon act like this before. He said he believed Harmon wanted to kill him.

Harmon was taken to the Sauk County jail. A hearing is set for July 13.
