MONTELLO - A rural Westfield man faces 10 years on charges that include child abuse and intimidating a victim.
William L. Swan, 47, is free on a $500 signature bond. He was charged this week in Marquette County Circuit Court with felony intimidation of a victim by use of force, felony child abuse, recklessly causing great harm and misdemeanor battery.
Swan is accused of striking a woman with his fist, striking a 17-year-old girl in the eye with his fist, causing bruising and red marks, and attempting to prevent the girl from calling 911.
The felony charges each carry a maximum initial prison sentence of five years.
Swan is scheduled for an initial appearance on the charges Monday.
