Portage High School Class of 1949 holds reunion

Portage High School Class of 1949 celebrated their 60th reunion Sept. 19 at Portage Country Club. The day included a tour of the old senior high school, a program presented by Col. LaVerne Griffin, USAF retired, and a review of the Portage Library Book Memorial Fund initiated by the class following its 50th reunion. To date, 46 books have been donated and the fund continues to be well supported by remaining class members and the library.
