Shanks anniversary

Merlin and Eunice Shanks of the town of Caledonia celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 4, 2009. They were married June 4, 1949, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Freedom. The couple has five children, Steve (Kim) Shanks, Kathy (Bill) Statz, Mary (Dan) Naylor, Ken (Joan) Shanks and Bob (Kathy) Shanks. They also have 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family celebrated with them June 7.
